Just like season one of the U.S. version of The X Factor, it appears there’s going to be yet another judge shake up. US Weekly reports that Britney Spears will not be returning for another season. According to their source, ”Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn’t working.” Also, apparently the producers don’t think she really earned her $15 million paycheck, as their source said, ”They [producers] paid all that for her to say ‘amazing’ and offer half-claps.”
However in terms of competition, Britney did extremely well this season as she coached the young teens, and one of her mentees, Carly Rose Sonenclar, came in second place. This news also comes off the heels of fellow judge L.A. Reid confirming he wouldn’t come back for another season. The record exec joined the cast during season one, and survived last year’s judge shake up, as former American Idol judge Paula Abdul and Pussycat Doll’s singer Nicole Scherzinger were both let go. Britney, as well as Demi Lovato, took their places.
Also, some think that a total re haul of the judges could be taking place, as Demi sent some cryptic tweets after the show’s finale. The full message of the multiple tweets reads, “I have the most incredible, supportive, loyal and genuine friends in my life today and I couldn’t be more thankful for them.. And also I’m thankful for this experience I’ve had on The X Factor USA this year.. I’m really really really gonna miss working with @LA_Reid. So many laughs and inside jokes.. Truly blessed to know you LA. Love you so much. Also I’m going to miss sitting next to the STUNNING, gorgeous and down-to-earth sweetheart @britneyspears.. Britney.. I’m gonna miss you & I will babysit anytime!!! Miss you already!! 
And finally.. @SimonCowell. You may seem like a grumpy old man who gets on my nerves (which you are and you do) BUT.. I love you. You have an amazing heart and I’m very thankful I got the opportunity to get to know the genuine, humble and loving side of you.. I will miss making fun of you twice a week. I’ll still be doing it… Just not to your face….”
