2012 was definitely a good year for these ladies! Forbes Magazine released their list of the top earning female musicians (from May 2011 to May 2012), and some of our favorite stars made the list.
So, who was lucky enough to nab the number one spot ? Miss Britney Spears! Between her international Femme Fatale tour, and her $15 million X Factor salary, it’s easy to see how the “Toxic” singer earned $58 million. Not far behind was Taylor Swift, who was number two on the list, with $57 million in total earnings, thanks to her last tour and deals with CoverGirl and Sony.
Taylor is certainly having an amazing 23rd birthday — not only did she rank number two on this list, but she was nominated for a Golden Globe thanks to her song “Safe and Sound” from The Hunger Games! Oh, and not to mention, she’s dating Harry Styles from One Direction!
